The Local Farm
The Local GEST, brings to the community "The Local Farm" part of the Elm Grove Collective. A small piece of paradise located just south of the little town of Sutton, Ontario. Just minutes from the shores of Lake Simcoe.
Our objective is to make local food more accessible to our community. In our one acre we cultivate mixed vegetables, such as kale, spinach, arugula, tomatoes, celery, garlic, onion, zucchini, eggplant, and much more. “The Local Farm” aims to support people that wish to deepen their relationship with food, personal and community enrichment. We provide a variety of opportunities to get involved. If you are interested in our Internship program or volunteering, please send us an email or give us a call. Volunteers are welcome on the farm most Sundays, 7:30am - 3:30pm, from May - October.
All of our volunteers benefit in a variety of ways. This includes learning farm skills, being part of a community of like-minded people, veggies to take home each shift, as well as exercise and time outdoors.
